There's been a lot of controversy recently about WFM's healthy TM discount plan. The short version: the company provides an on-site screening for which team members can voluntarily sign up. Regarding 3: Seriously? Because you and I are on the same page there. "According to these tests... He clearly isn't eating enough veg. She clearly is. So, let's give her an extra discount on veg, and tell him he might want to do better." That's all kinds of backwards. You want to make it really sane? "Bronze medalists" get bonus discounts on produce and supplements, "precious-metal medalists" get bonus discounts on all the other stuff in the store.

While it is easy to pick it apart for socialistic reasons (the unhealthy should get the discount) I will note that a person who eats poorly is still likely to eat poorly even if you give them a discount ( ... )

My former employer did similar screenings (however, we DID have to fast through the night shift and morning shows - to include no coffee, in a news room- which makes for more SEVERE WEATHER.... he he ( ... )
