oh don't stress out about the proof reading test! when i took one for the newspaper (where they ended up offering me the job) I know I missed tons of stuff, and there was a spelling test, and I went home and checked some of the stuff, and I know it was wrong. They don't expect you to be perfect (yet), and they definitely know tests, themselves, can be nerve racking and put you under a lot of pressure to perform. And you can tell them that if you feel that way. At a big place, you will be trained, and they will go over even proof reading technique with you. It sounds like you've got your foot in the door, and in my opinion if you catch 60-70% of the errors, they aren't going to hold the test against you. They just want to make sure you have a basic knowledge of grammar. The people interviewing you are human, too.

I'll be thinkin' aboutcha!
