I'm a firm believer that Christ died for our sins, and therefor we are forgiven for things that otherwise we wouldn't be. But I wouldn't classify myself under any relgion.

To me, it's not about the religion you 'practice' or the church you attend. I read somewhere in the bible that God doesn't want us to follow 'man's teachings'... which makes me think that it's really more about our RELATIONSHIP with God, and our own beliefs and understandings through prayer.

But disputes like those of your mom are good to come along too because it allows us to question, which we're supposed to, and pray for answers. =)
