i think the highlight of the state of the union was when the president said something to the effect of "you all shot down my social security proposal" and everyone clapped. also the hillary clinton shot where she shook her head in utter disbelief. aaaahahaha.

*goes to work*

From the few things mentioned in this post alone I have to say I am glad I live in England purely because it means that last night the president didn't hog my TV and I was completely and blissfully ignorant of him being a jackass.

Thankfully Blair doesn't command that much media coverage EVAR. *Worries about the complacence of the British Public when it comes to politics* Maybe thats not something to be pleased about!?

dude no kidding. i am so glad that i am moving closer to the canadian border, so that if shit gets just way too stupid? i can just book it up north. lol

i think it's good to be involved, but only to a point, i guess. i mean, really, i am dumb when it comes to most politics. like you start talking about tax breaks and crap and i am snoozing. lol but at the same time, i guess it's cool just to know what's going on around me, like why i have to pay the government for taxes this year. or something, haha i don't know. i like being informed about the stuff i'm interested in, i guess.

Hey, yeah, I didn't get to (have to) see it either (in Germany) but CNN was broadcasting repeated excerts for about 2 days. Blech. And please please please vote for someone else next time! (I still am horrified and embarassed when people here ask about Bush and why America re-elected him; I can't believe it either.) (and yes I know he can't run again and TG for that! but you can bet his clone will be running in his place.)

I am greatly heartened by the fact that somebody who doesn't agree with Bush watched it and was, well, appalled (is that too strong?) at what he said. Maybe there is a chance that America can recover from Bush....

and pardon my spelling, i'm studying way too much deutsche and the german gets mixed up with the englisch in my head
