That is an amazing fusion of nerd gaming and H.I.I.T., I salute you good sir. What you are doing is by far the most efficient way to lose your gut. Take biweekly or monthly snapshots of your progress.

How long is each session you do?

Timing it out, it comes close to 40 minutes. I also walk my dog around the neighborhood for about 10-15 minutes, so I am spending an hour moving around daily.

Thanks for the vote of confidence -- I was basically taking an educated guess based on everything I read, what I saw from P90x, and also, taking a cue from Nicole's zumba stuff, which is what's she's doing for her exercise. I hope this works.

If you really want to hate yourself, incorporate a few burpees into the mix.

I do those already -- they are the squat thrusts I am talking about. Or what they called it when I was playing football.... And yes, it does indeed make you hate life

Definitely post some progress shots/updates! Just one question...if you're on a hard pad/makeshift hard pad, are you wearing shoes or going barefoot? The only reason I ask is back in the day when I was big into DDR, we had regular pads taped to the floor, and playing barefoot for 1-2 hours at a stretch multiple times a day eventually caused a stress fracture in one of my foot bones. ~____~

I built it in multiple layers -- square piece of wood the same size as the pad, and in between the pad AND the wood is this foam padding that you can get at Lowes for about 15$ It's been pretty good thus far, not causing too much pain. I was thinking about getting something akin to the old aquasocks for some additional padding, but I haven't had the need for it.

I am taking my brother in law to a local arcade to show him the arcade pad -- he's been wanting to help build me a set for a while for the con I run since renting DDR machines are $$$, and he now has an idea how it's suppose to work. He's an electrician and does metal work, so this will be VERY interesting.
