We are home after our little trip to Yosemite. Our next adventure is a trip to Costco later this morning. I'm looking forward to it. I' be sure to post pictures.

It will be if I remember to actually write in it. I have a habit of forgetting these things.

That is a cool idea, to plot out those opportunities.

When we visited the temple at Abu Simbel, which was hewn out of solid rock, they told us it had been designed so that the sun shone straight through the space to illuminate the pharaoh's statue on his birthday. When the British cut it up and relocated it to construct the Aswan High Dam, they got their calculations slightly wrong, so now it illuminates the king on HCD's birthday again, which of course pleased him mightily.

I was reading something the other day about how the sun shines down the avenues in NYC on particular days of the year, illuminating the giant rats.
