Here's a fine letter of encouragement from the staff at NaNO!!!

Dear NaNoWriMo Participant,

Cool letter--and timely, as my novel and my morale are sucking big-time right now.

One question, though. How come you got that letter and I didn't? Are you special? Or am I chopped liver?

Did you sign up for the weekly newsletter/cheering? There's an option for it somewhere on the NaNo site - I'm just not sure where at the moment.

As for the W2 Doldrums...I was feeling it last night, too, but I feel suddenly victorious with my sparkly new 4218 (yes, that's the sum of all tears). I don't know if you word war, e-f, but if you had a writing buddy whom you could challenge to 15 minute word count duels (I recommend the with a theme option!) in real-time (like on the phone, over a chat client, on the bookcrossing forum, etc) that might bring a bounce back into your wrists.

Before last night I never would have considered adding space monkeys, urinating cacti, showers, sweet microphone loving, or myself (my voice anyway) to my NaNo; the scary thing is that all these things, weird as they seem, actually fit in, and they fit in the part I was working on at the time. :O

I hope you find something that brings you out of the pit.
