Recently bought an exquisite jacket from ukay-ukay. It’s pink, knitted and really cheap. It looks perfect. I would totally wear it cute if I could get all the dirt out, but nothing ever works. Tried soaking it in warm, saline water, using Tide and Downy, but it still looks as dirty grey as ever. I really like it, but it makes me look really stinky ( Read more... )

WAHHHH!!! I <3 UK! If only stuff were in my sizes, and I had all the time to dig in the treasure trove.

Anyway, since I don't want to pore over Math notes yet, I googled on your problem. http://ohioline.osu.edu/outside/stainrem.html: "wash in a permanent press cycle with hot wash water, a cool-down rinse, and a cup of water conditioner instead of detergent. If discoloration persists, repeat this procedure or wash again using the correct amount of detergent, an all- fabric bleach, or diluted liquid chlorine bleach if safe for fabric."
