I was just saying to Jason yesterday that I hadn't heard much from you this summer.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, but it does sound like he has lived a very full life. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Sounds like a long life, lived well, and that he's fading in a simple, not painful way. May we all be so fortunate. It still doesn't make it easy on the ones watching him go, of course - hope you are well.
