swimming after him like the world was a strange aquatic pastoral scene ... spliced figments of your imagination, rendered ethereal by dreams and the glitter on the surface of the water.
The dialogue feels so natural and not forced at all. I haven't written a review in forever, so forgive me, but I liked this a lot. It feels... real, you know? :)

^^^That's my favourite part of that (splendid) piece of writing. I write too; you can catch Chapter 16 of my current novel-in-progress on my LJ Diary (very recent); sorry, I don't know how to post links in replies. I could fiddle about with it and such, but I'm lazy right now.
