i deffinitley do think that it's wierd. like...it would make sense if all the clothes were yellow or something but i think that it's something related to like...some republic in africa that has bananas (and thats where the sweatshops are). but alot of store names are really wierd, exept you get used to them. like wet seal.

You're right, and I never really thought about that. Did they name it after a republic of bananas? What is a banana republic? Is it like the banana council? Hmm.
