Awwwww, Nila, you are the sweetest!!! And I still just ADORE that kitteh!

Obviously, it's not the first pet we've lost to age, but it's always hard to share your life with a critter for so long, y'know? We'll get through it, it's just really fresh right now. I always tell the kids, every time, that mom has to snivel and sob for at least three days before she gets better. It'll probably take me that long this time too. I'm goofy like that!

Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH... for your kind thoughts, hugs, sympathy and just for letting me know you're here. Oh yeah, and for wading through all my blathering - for that, I think you might deserve a medal! Something like, "I read a WHOLE Wiccan post without passing out!" See? I still have my sense of humor!!!!

Hey...I've been through that and know how painful it is. A pet is like a family member after awhile and completely transcends the master-pet relationship and in most instances, becomes the boss of the house. It hurts when they die.

As I said, I truly doubt we will ever have another with that sort of 'catitude.' He swaggered around knowing full well that he was king of all he surveyed. And if you even dared TRY to ignore him, he would remind you of his presence... a pat of a paw first, then the paw with slight claw extension, followed by full claw extension, followed by a yowl and a bite!

He was majestic, imperious, and fully lived up to his name!

I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make others sniffle... but I was leaking tears the whole time I was writing it, so I guess I should have realized how it might affect others. He loved his peeps, that's for sure, and we loved him back, but he's far better off where he is now. Tons of fond memories were made, though, and (at some nebulous point in the future) we will make more with the next one that chooses to adopt us!

Thank you SO MUCH. Yeah, that hurt takes a long damn time to fade, doesn't it? *sigh* Life goes on, though, and we still have animals to huggle and snuggle - Buddy dog & Kitty George. Not quite the same, but good in their own way!
