*The Decepticons' old underwater base had been rather quiet as of late. With the truce in place, everyone seemed to prefer hanging around in Autobot City or some other such location. For his part, Echoshift saw no reason to leave behind a perfectly good set of personal quarters and go through the bother of moving all his assorted belongings to an

*Truth be told, he doesn't actually have all that clear an idea as to what he's doing. He just knows he wants to reset the computer system and everything connected to it, making the methods of doing so up as he goes along, and... well, hoping for the best, really. It's an approach he adopts reasonably regularly, with mixed results. As it is right now, he's managed to get quite far without setting off any tripwires or security measures ( ... )

*Oh, all right. And Snowkitty too*
*He looks up as the power goes off* The heck? *the power returns, and Demolishor continues demolishing*

Duskwing drops by the old base every so often out of habit. It's the last place he lived on Earth. Sometimes he absent-mindedly forgets he doesn't live there anymore--or anywhere else, for that matter.
Someone has moved into his old room--someone with quite a pile of stuff. Duskwing looks it over, trying to puzzle something about his new roommate. Finally he shrugs; his roommate, whoever he is, has stuff. Lots of it. He picks up what looks like a ruby crystal cylinder and looks it over, noting the hairline flaw near one end.
Why would someone keep a busted pulse laser module around? Duskwing sets it back down again, somewhere else in the pile of stuff.
The power flickers and then goes dark suddenly; Duskwing looks up with a puzzled scowl. About that time, it goes back on.
What the slag is going on here? This place spring a leak in the main generator?
He drifts up through the ceiling, intangible and invisible.

...which is to say, he's haunting the base in his own unique way.
"Hey! Echoshift! Snowcat says you're in charge here, and that I'm not assigned a berth at all if I've been away. So I should talk to you about my quarters. I want my old quarters back."

*note that Echoshift is still at the main console. He hasn't had a chance to connect the other base unit up yet, like he'd been planning to do, and so hasn't yet gotten round to reading through Duskwing's file. Else he'd probably have reacted quite differently when Duskwing came back into the room*

"I was out. An' I always use that room when I'm back on Earth." He looks at Echoshift, less angry than puzzled. "Last time I came back was just after Galvatron left. I think. My--my--what's the word? My chronometer, yeah, that's it, hasn't been so good for a while."
He shrugs. "So assign me some other room. Though I dunno if that'll work; I'm pretty used to C-134."

*shrugs* You can have the room next door. C-135. That one's not being used.

*The door to the command center swooshes open and Echoshift steps back into the room, allowing himself a sigh as the door whispers closed again behind him. He remains by the doorway for a moment longer before wandering further into the room, the datapad he picked up earlier still held in one hand. He gets to about the center before pausing and looking around the room and idly wondering where to start work on next. There was still a lot to do, and it was starting to become rather tedious. And then after he was done with sorting out everything here, he'd have to start thinking about work on the rest of the base*
*Yeah. This was going to take a while*
*Oh well. Now is break time. He could work out what to fix next after he'd dawdled for a bit and gotten a rest from having to fix any more things...*

Duskwing appears behind him and asks, "Hey, how'd you do that invisibility thing?"

Quit doing that already!

Duskwing looks at Echoshift, clearly puzzled.
"Huh? Quit doing what?"
The brightly-lit Command Center is surprisingly gloomy. And dank.
