I finished mockingjay yesterday. IDK what to think. Before I read the books, I asked my sister what she thought of them, and she said she didn't really like them, because the idea was interesting, but she didn't really like where the story went. I haven't talked about them with her since (she's out of town) but I think I agree with her.

lol girl, you know I'm not going to see the movie. I have like zero interest in seeing a movie where I already know what's going to happen cause I've read the book anyway.

I'm the same, I got about halfway through Mockingjay and then I got bored and read a whole other book. After I finished that book I was like "I guess I should finish Mockingjay", so I finished it, but was very meh about it.

YO SERIOUSLY THAT WAS AN OT3 WAITING TO HAPPEN ALREADY HAPPENING, WTF SUZANNE COLLINS. I have a lot of feelings about how shitty the 2nd and 3rd books were, particularly the 3rd, but you've accurately summed up most of my points. The third one was just...a whole lot of nothing and angst about nothing for zillions of pages, and then suddenly everyone's dying and you're not really sure why or how except they're all dead, and then she's not speaking to Gale again and she's marrying Peeta?!?!

Yeah, maybe Suzanne Collins was just trying to depict the confusion Katniss was experiencing, but at the end I was confused too. I wasn't sure if what was happening was even real or a dream, it all seemed so vague. Like, Katniss in President Snow's greenhouse? Ummmmm wtf is happening and how would this be allowed? Does this place have no security?

OT3 HIGH FIVE.

I absolutely love THG, and I just reread Catching Fire and didn't mind it, but I just remember Mockingjay being so disappointing in comparison to THG and like, I wasn't expecting a happy ending really but it was just so so unfair to Katniss in the end. I'm holding out hope that whenever the Mockingjay movie comes around they'll fix some of the more unfortunate problems.
