This first chapter is called Sex and Death: A Kind of History.  It contains sex. And, death. And, it is a kind of history.

If you don't like sex, death  OR history, don't despair.  This is simply the beginning of a long and multi-focused fic that will have different chapters in a linear storyline.

After all, it's all connected......

It's so exciting to read all of the great fic that Life has inspired - and your writing is definitely no exception! I can tell you've worked hard on this & I'm so glad there's more to come! You've got great narrative style & the characters ring very true to me. Here, I'm supposed to be working on three papers due this week, and I'm too busy reading everyone else's writings. LoL! Well, writings such as yours have been too good to ignore

I'm old. Well, let's just say I'm the exact same age as Charlie Crews.

What is with all this new English? LOL. Just kidding. I think I'm programmed to use every comma and semicolon in turn.

I do appreciate your observations and it is something I'll definitely think about as I continue editing.

No way you're old! :) I'm 34-yrs-young (although I feel 80, sometimes) & you're only a little older! I'm glad to know it's not just me who believes in putting the commas and semi-colons in all the right places, btw. Now I'm seriously doubting my prof's sanity. I mean, that's what most of us were taught, right? Put them in where there should be a pause. Period. Although I can see where my teach is coming from on some counts, she's been annoying the hell out of me with her too-darned-pickiness about the whole thing. English has always been my best subject, yet she's taking off points on my papers for practically every comma I use! :( In fact, I think I brought it up in my previous comment because I've been brain-washed into believing that "commas are evil." LOL! Not cool

Seriously, you should definitely post some of your stuff. I'm sure it is great, and it would be great to read your perspective on these characters. I know it seems incredibly daunting, but I hope you work up the courage to post some fic soon. Go for it!
