I hope all goes well!
We were traumatized about Chester earlier this summer, I can empathize with your worry.

Thank you! I remember when Chester went through his surgery. I was so worried, but when I saw him recently he was like a puppy, bringing me toys....
Chester is an inspiration to Sandy!

*sending good vibes your way*

i know how nerve-racking this is. when luci had the tumor removed from her eye, i was a basket case. but she came through it just fine at 13, and i know sandy will, too. :)

I'm sure Sandy will be a trooper and come through this just fine. But I just can't help but worry. And boy is she able to get away with everything right now. Taking all the room on the bed, plus my covers, or a little bit of whatever I'm eating.... and we all thought she was spoiled before. : )

Poor Sandy. We put our 15.5 year old lab mix under anesthesia for repair of an ear hematoma and it went really well. He has a palpable mass on his splen, but we;re not looking to do anything about it unless it becomes problematic due to the difficulty of recovery for open abdominal surgery in a dog his age. They said it's likely benign, and is more common than one would think in a dog of his age. We're just waiting for now, since it isn't bothering him. Where is Sandy's tumor located?

Sandy's tumor is above her eye, she has these busy eyebrows so you don't notice it at first. It's pretty small still, but it seems to be bigger every day. I'm very happy it isn't internal, I would be a mess!
I heard you had a tragedy with one of your dogs lately. I'm really sorry.
(we should get together sometime soon)

Sadly, it wasn't our 15.5 year old dog we had to put down, it was our 12.5 year old collie mix. I'm so far behind in posting...sigh.
