I wish you could have joined us there. Your face would have lite up like a school girl with glee. Sort of like the way you nodded at me when I mentioned that Campbells has that chocolate in thier employee lounge.
Those are great! A photographer friend of mine was saying the last trip he made to the US, they made him provide proof that he wasn't going over to make money in the US because of all the equipment he had in his car. He makes trips at least twice a month, but now they make it so hard for him.
Thanks. I was curious how you west coasters would receive them.
I could see why they questioned him since he is crossing the boarder frequently but sometimes it gets pretty ridiculous.
Once they took some duct tape out of my bag and asked why I had so much duct tape. I told them it was because i needed to tape down some cables and wires during a business meeting. She in turn wondered why i had so much though. I laughed thinking she was joking only for her to do continue staring at me, sort of like when barbara walters asks a questions and just stares until the person says something she was hinting at. I then got defensive and asked whether I should have thrown half of it away the moment i bought it to meet your standards. I did board with the fresh roll of duct tape but it just seemed idiotic.
Your pictures turned out great. Too bad you can't see any of the ghosts lurking around the Empress. I can't believe you didn't see any whales... but that island looks super cool in a creepy way.
P.S. I experienced some major bus rage today. There are too many bumpkins in Victoria.
No ghost to report but the hotel definitley had some haunting smells, well at least in my musky old room.
The whale watching was still pretty cool, even though their wasn't a whale in site. We saw this really cool former game reserve, an old leper colony that closed in 1910 and a bunch of really beautiful houses along the american and canadian waterfronts.
What happened on the bus? I know this response is probably a week old, but if you could remember i would like to hear your west coast issues. God that coast is so slow paced. I'm not sure if i could ever live there. It was beautiful but just slow.
I'm not sure if I could/should live here either. I suppose it's nice for now, having a slower paced life, but I can't wait to return back east. Maybe you can appreciate my lamenting a little since you've seen life here for yourself.
You saw a former leper colony?! That's pretty crazy, I'd love to figure out where that is and see it for myself.
To be honest I can't remember what triggered my bus rage. It was probably the usual: the rejects of society in my face too early in the day for me to be calm or understanding, people not getting the concept of moving to the back of the bus even with the bus driver asking them to at every stop, people who smell... you know, the usual.

If I had been at that former game reserve, i think my head would have turned inside out from all the excitement!
"Hey, Juie, check out that eagle over there."
"Where? Oh! There!" FLIP-SQUISH!
