I just saw Manderlay, Lars von Trier’s second in the trilogy after Dogville. I really, really liked Dogville, and so had high hopes for this one, which were however tempered by several people whose opinions I trust, and who like Dogville but hate Manderlay. Dream #1: I'm walking on the street of a small Hungarian village that I can't seem to leave when a small, 1950's style sedan pulls up beside me. There's a guy inside who looks a lot like John Travolta in 'Grease'.
