i am doing better than i thought i was gonna. as soon as the thyroid was out and i woke from sedation, i felt better than i have in a long while, the biggest problem i have, is not sleeping all day still.

Are they checking for function or to make sure the bad stuff is all gone?

i have to stop the thyroid replacement 2 weeks prior, so i guess they will be checking for the levels of stuff in my blood first. but could be both for all i know.

they didnt find the cancer in my blood as far as i know, till the biopsy.

that you are right, and yet some part of me is glad to have something to fret about again.

the nurse who called me said when i go off the thyroid stuff i will feel "lethargic and sleepy all the time" i told her i still am form after surgery..

she mumbled something about not good

i had to come around to accept it, that i was a cancer patient. but now it is i am a cancer survivor.

i know i am a strong woman, but it took a lot of grief in my life, and a lot of hardship to get me there. and as most survivors, it showed me a had a lot more support and caring people in my life than i ever believed was there.

including random people in my life from here and all over to meet and share with.
