Been a humdrum week. I'm hoping to go fishing tomorrow and Sunday, possibly for paddlefish. Today I received the first paycheck I've had since October of 2009. Actually that is inaccurate in that I did not receive a paycheck, I received a pay warrant. I can't be bothered right now to determine what, if any, difference there is. It isn't a bad day. It was cold this morning, but not unreasonably. Had to deal with an irritating and aggravating task at work, but nothing beyond my abilities. I'm just off. Looks like I'll get my glasses sometime around May 10. Wish it was sooner, but so worth the wait!

As the subject states, my weekend was fairly long. However, I also managed to accomplish a couple of major tasks, which makes this Monday feel pretty good.

The first task was getting my eyes examined. This always holds a bit of anxiety for me, as I have always had to have my pupils dialated in the past, and I hate eyedrops and being light ( Read more... )

Yesterday was a good day. I rode my bike to work for the first time in several years. I even rode home for lunch, then back to work and finally home again! Altogether thats around 4 miles.

Well it was a busy weekend, but I didn't do everything I set out to accomplish. For one, my bike is still not unpacked.

Saturday I helped with some roofing cleanup (Step-dad and step-brother-in-law do roofing), then when I got home I helped mom clean up the back yard. 4 dogs = lots of dog leavings.
