i had the longest most interesting conversation with my parents last night. i was trying to convince my dad of a lot of things that his traditional, cop mindset just could not handle. but for once in my life i felt like he wanted to, or was at least trying to understand. i think the fact alex is going through so much shit right now, is opening up

Your dad is a cop? Are you a bit different than him? You don't strike me as... conservative, like most cops are. Of course, I read your blogs on the internet, how much could I know?

sorry. i was writing a paper. sometimes just clicking on my internet connection allows aim to start up and i dont notice--then i get messages when i really cant be distracted.

finals will end this coming thursday. i cant wait til its over. although i will be bored without learning so much on a daily basis.

my dad and i dont get along very well mostly because we have similar personalities but VERY DIFFERENT views on pretty much everything. hes liberal in a not racist, gay friendly, recycling, wanted to be an art teacher back in the 70s kind of way.. but as far as everything on a day to day basis goes.. he couldnt be more conservative.
