Charles/Erik - Healing

Long prompt is long, sorry! But I was inspired :D
After the end of the movie, Erik spends most of his time looking for a mutant with healing abilities to heal Charles injury. He finally finds one and brings him/her to Charles and threatens him/her to make sure he/she succeeds.
But of course Charles being Charles, he doesn't want the mutant to be forced into anything and has it out with Erik on coercing mutants. Only seeing them fight the mutant with healing abilities can clearly see that Erik is in love with Charles, even if Charles, incredibly enough, hasn't realised it yet, and so he/she heals Charles because of it.
I want much love and reluctant gratefulness from Charles and late epiphanies. First time in Erik's old bed would be really good too, because of course Charles wouldn't have touched it :D

He rose from the simple cot and thin blanket into silence and darkness. The light switch, like most everything else in the room, was cold and made of metal. There were no windows here, but artificial light poured yellow down from the recess lighting fixtures as he pressed his bare feet onto the slick steel floor.
He showered in the adjoining room. He shaved, washed his face clean, dried it with one of the plush towels Emma was so fond of. There was no mirror. He had no use for it (didn’t want to see -), not when he could control the metallic blade so finely as to never nick his skin. He pulled his clothes on neatly, smoothed his hands down the lapels of his blazer

He rose, pressed his bare feet against cold steel. He showered, shaved, and dressed. With the helmet on, the coin and bullet in his pocket, he stepped into the sunlight outside his quarters.
For a moment, he considered his actions, no longer solely concerned with the haunts of his past, nor with the possibility of the future he hoped to shape.
Down the hallway resided the culmination of both, within this present. He sighed and stood there in the doorway.
Some men could handle this sort of situation with aplomb.
Erik usually handled it with sarcasm, his rage and guilt lingering there at the outskirts.
And at times like these, on mornings when the silence felt heavier, stiller after months and months, he thought of Shaw with his sterile instruments and experimentation methods. Thoughts of sharp tools and the metallic scent of blood began to creep into his mind with nothing (no one) else to detract from such things

Thank you! I just saw the movie and really wasn't quite sure how to begin writing about these characters at all, so your quick feedback has been so lovely!

OP here! This is perfect, exactly what I had in mind, and well written too, which is more than I was hoping for. I couldn't ask for more :) Please please please keep going!

I'm so relieved! It's rather terrifying, jumping into a new fandom. I'm very happy that you like how this has begun and feel that it follows your prompt. Great prompt, by the way. I love the idea of a healing mutant!

“Raven, I know you want this as much as I,” Erik said over breakfast. She ignored him.
Meals here were a cold affair, though it wasn’t for lack of sunlight, nor of warm-bodied company. He remembered (in nightmares, in dreams) breakfasts, lunches, dinners by candlelight in a small, simple home. Other meals, too, he remembered from a sterilized room, sometimes intravenous and painful. Then again, after that, warmth from other sources than candlelight or spotlights

Erik’s head itched.
Riptide continued waxed on about strategies for how to find recruits, and chalk board dust swirled as the man let his excitement take over.
Here (out there), a storm was brewing.
And Erik sat there looking around at his comrades. Half of him marveled at some with their youth and at others with their cruelty, while his other half wondered if he could afford to remove the helmet for even the briefest of moments.
But then he may see. And Erik vowed to keep as much of an advantage with his personal confidentiality as possible

He drew the door loudly shut after them and lashed out with the furnishings adorning the hallway. She had time to crystallize, but not before he caught her spread-eagled against the wall

I've it mapped out in my head at least, and will likely have more in a bunch soon. Seems as though we're on opposite sides of the globe, so perhaps it will work out well ;) Thank you again for such wonderful notes!

Do NOT cut any of these moments ^^ It can be painful when it's badly written, but when it has a style and a creativity like yours? I enjoy it very much, and it makes the big moments much better by anticipation.

“Put me down!” Theo screamed.
“Erik,” came a voice behind him.
Faster still. And there, finally, Erik felt the slightest resistance to his ministrations. He repressed a smile ( ... )
