Charles/Erik - Healing

Long prompt is long, sorry! But I was inspired :D
After the end of the movie, Erik spends most of his time looking for a mutant with healing abilities to heal Charles injury. He finally finds one and brings him/her to Charles and threatens him/her to make sure he/she succeeds.
But of course Charles being Charles, he doesn't want the mutant to be forced into anything and has it out with Erik on coercing mutants. Only seeing them fight the mutant with healing abilities can clearly see that Erik is in love with Charles, even if Charles, incredibly enough, hasn't realised it yet, and so he/she heals Charles because of it.
I want much love and reluctant gratefulness from Charles and late epiphanies. First time in Erik's old bed would be really good too, because of course Charles wouldn't have touched it :D

He rose from a nest of blankets, blood in his mouth. His limbs felt taut, muscles straining to escape terrors no longer tangible threats, but nevertheless ever-present. Even merely in his own mind (in his guilt)His power had always been his one comfort, an indomitable force against those who would do him harm. Until only recently, when metal itself proved to be a tool he couldn’t always control, did he again feel betrayed by his power after he’d failed to find it from the first

OP says perfect! God how I love where you are going with this. i want to know what comes next but at the same time I want it to never end, like any truly good book I would read.
Theo’s hand was warm in his.
Oh my, oh my!
Erik is well defined in this, which is probably the one thing most X-men first class fics lack for me (as well as for Charles, actually). You can feel the conflict, how far he is ready to go and yet he is nothing like Shaw.
I wish you would de-anon! Or if you could direct me to some other fills you've written? If I had your talent, I would claim it :)

You're too nice! Flattery makes the words flow so much more easily ;) And now I have the entire fic outlined, at least.
Erik is well defined in this This made me the happiest! I want my writing to make the characters more full and rounded, rather than merely having them act as empty puppets that look and mimic like the characters in a movie or book, if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm glad he doesn't seem flat to you.
Soon as I'm done, I'll de-anon! I'd like to finish it first before claiming it. Thanks again for your wonderful encouragement!

They needed a car. Erik led them out back to the lot where they’d have their pick. Voices rose behind them as the officers began to overcome their shock and fear enough to question what was keeping them suspended, even if they were ignorant of the source.
The back doors were locked, but doors were never a problem. They exploded outward in a truly spectacular display of showering debris. He had to admit he had a growing fondness for making entrances, and exits.
“Take your pick,” he said, gesturing to Theo casually, as if they had all the time in -
There was a gunshot, a scream (- he couldn’t even turn to see -). Then a sudden, sharp pain.
He felt the loss of Theo’s warm hand in his, and he thought he heard a man shout, but he couldn’t be sure beneath the haze of his disbelief.
You see, Charles, Eric thought distantly, I did need the practice after all.__

OP says: As fab as previously! I already said it, but I just want to say again how much I love Erik in this, and how I can totally imagine all of it, he is just like the actual character. If your Charles is as good, I can die happy!

I apologize for being MIA of late! I will be updating soon, though! These sorts of memes are not healthy, because I tend to want to fill numerous prompts and have these WIPs hanging over me.
I believe, at this point, that this story will actually be in two separate installments, and the next will have quite a bit more of Charles, so we shall see how that goes :) I'm so pleased you're enjoying this so far. Thanks for the encouragement!

I've just recently seen the film, and am now diving headfirst into a new fandom, though I really don't have the time...
This is one of the first fics I've read in the meme (and the fandom overall), and if even any of the other fics even begin to approach the amazingness of this one, I'll be in for a long, pleasant stay :)

I understand completely how you feel about diving into the new fandom! I hadn't meant to write, but this meme is so busy and fun. :) Glad you could join in!
I'm flattered this fic is one of your firsts, so to speak, and I'm so glad you're enjoying it so far. Thanks for the lovely note!

OP: The suspense! It's killing me!
What else can I say but to say again how much I enjoy your Eric's ressemblance to the original character? For as I mentioned before I can totally imagine Eric behaving this way.

OP: Also, take your time! I understand what busy means (and also why you wouldn't want to spend too much time here...). As long as this gets finished, I will be a very happy anon :)
