well. there are a lot of occasions that i'm glad i'm not Erik, but this? this time i'm praying my thanks to high heavens that i'm not Erik because that was just awkward. i can imagine Erik with his mouth open and closing and just say stupid meaningless things before marching out. that's sad, dude. -le sigh-

When Charles is tired nowadays - physically or emotionally - it affects his leg: makes the ache worse, the tremors more marked.
He’s tired now and after thinking about what they may be facing soon he decides that if he’s to function properly he needs to do something about it. The remedies he needs are up in his own bathroom suite, the cabinet of which has become as well stocked as a small infirmary in recent months.
Charles swallows a couple of pills - run of the mill painkillers - and then lifts out the case containing his own personal medicine. He looks down at it for a moment, remembering when Hank had given it to him. ‘It’s not a long term solution by any means, but for occasional short term relief it will work well.’ Hank’s eyes had been apologetic as he added ‘It’ll only work on the pain, of course. Not the muscle weakness.’ But that had seemed more than enough at the time and Charles’ thanks had been sincere

hey :D you know, i think i'll never ever get tired of Erik's fail!smooth operator stints. i mean, he can go on and on being all BAMF and running around killing nazis and shoving coins through people's heads but you pluck him down in front of Charles, telling him to explain himself and what do you get? a sad sad person who can't even look at the man he loves in the eyes and admit that he's sorry.

this is amazing, your charles is so real! I'm glad someone's writing him as strong a character that he is; some tend to play him down as weak and constantly in need of rescuing but he's an omega-level telepath and erik's equal (or more) and should be treated as such. he wouldn't give in to maudlin soppiness when his family is in danger.

The interactions between Charles and Erik are superb and I'm loving the contrast between Emma and Charles.
I am so excited to see what happens next. Please write more!!1
