Alex/Hank + Scott

Modern AU, where an older Alex (in his mid twenties?) somehow figures out/recieves the news that, no, his younger brother didn't die in the crash like he'd been told, and then sets out to find him. The catch is, Scott's been adopted and adores his 'dad', who is incidentally the adorkable Hank McCoy.

"Scott, what did I say about putting away your toys?" Hank calls from living room where he's currently busy tripping over a veritable landfill of Scott's things. He can't fathom how Scott's managed to accumulate so many things because he can't remember buying half of this stuff. He decides to blame Raven, and Charles on principle. Possibly Sean as well

"Good luck, babe and don't worry," she says, holding out his blazer so he can slip into it. "Brian's a perfect gentleman and Scott's going to be staying with me so he'll be safe and if it goes great, you can bring Brian back here. Or, if you feel like that'll taint the sanctity of Scott's space or whatever child psych bullshit you're into right now is espousing, you can go back to his hotel and fuck there."
"His hotel? I thought he'd be staying at the mansion. Isn't he an old friend of the family?"
Raven turns him around and starts brushing imaginary lint off his shoulders. "Because he and Charles used to bump uglies way back when." The implied so obviously Erik wants to kill him goes unsaid. "See? Good self-preservation instincts, which is one thing he's got going for him already

I will shamelessly admit to stalking this fic, because the phrasing is wonderful and the writing style is so, so, so perfect. I actually laughed out loud in joy when I saw this update. /creep
tl;dr: more please because I think I'm in love. :D

THIS IS FANTASTICO. I LOVE KIDFIC SO MUCH, OMG.
I really like the pacing and the way you write, mystery writer.
Interesting fact. I happened to google Alex Summers before I stumbled on this fic, b/c I was wondering about the relationship between Scott and Alex and it turns out that Alex is actually the YOUNGER brother. What. The people behind XMFC messed around with the timeline for them.

A/N: Thanks so much for your lovely reviews! Yes, this is unbeta-ed save a cursory readthrough so I want to belatedly apologise for that. It also becomes even more apparent that I have no idea where this is specifically set, only that it's in some small American town with a large, prestigious university so let me apologise for this as well.Sundays usually see Hank taking Scott out for brunch at Alison's cafe then to the park where Scott meets up with Jean, Warren, Shiro, Kitty and Jubilee for their longstanding weekly play date. On this Sunday, the only difference is Sean's presence

Sean as Erik's favorite son? Hahaha! Makes sense.
I am so very happy whenever Charles and Erik are mentioned. This feels so right. They're together and taking care of the kids. Scott being more of a brat after hanging out with his adoptive grandparents -- cuute! Hank may be a tad jealous of Sean. Haha!
I feel sad for Alex because he's missing out on all the love. But that's going to change soon, right? Not that I want you to increase the pace or anything. The anticipation is killing me! But aww, this is going to be so good. They'll be one big happy family. :D
Soap drama plots, ahoy!

Will Scott even remember who his brother is? D: We shall see.
I'm slightly confused though. I thought Hank was a doctor, but he's also a teacher? I'll have to go and re-read.
