Well anon, I tried a few drafts until I wrote something I liked, but I'm not sure it's what you wanted exactly. So you can count this as a non-satisfactory fill if you want.

She wanted it, wanted her own little fire to share, wanted someone who kept a hand on her waist at night, who stroked her hair while they read out loud to her, who kissed her just to kiss her, just because. The use of the poem made the whole fill much more graceful. The flow of it is great. Not OP, but can't complain.

That's fantastic, because I wrote the fic because of the poem. I heard it recited, and it sounded beautiful, I had to seek it out. I thought it made a lovely addition. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hope the OP does too. There's some stuff in here that's kind of clunky, but I wrote it in an hour. I'm going to straighten it out a bit later.

This is beautiful. I like that Emma did that for them, because of how deeply their love affected her, and didn't even tell them. They may never have known the danger they were in.

Well, I would not say danger. Emma just hated seeing her little fairy tale disturbed by what she thought of as a cheap fantasy. She wants their love untouched by corruption. There's a selfishness to her actions, even if they were ultimately for the better.
