So maybe somehow they wind up having a vision of the future (or maybe it's jyst Charles, IDK) so they see how they wind up in the trilogy. Maybe this makes them determined to not end up like that. Maybe it finally makes them admit the feelings they've been hiding for some time now. I totally want a happy ending, with lots of adorableness

Erik takes Charles prisoner after the whole beach divorce -- he ties him up, brings him to a secluded location and decides to have his way with him.

BONUS POINTS IF: Erik takes off his helmet... Only to make CHARLES wear it so that Charles' powers are completely inhibited, as Erik does him from behind.

Erik suspects Charles of reading his mind and cheating during chess, so he focuses on all the other things he'd like to be doing with Charles right now. He's totally right, Charles is cheating (shut up, you know he would) and Charles spends the entire chess match very aroused and unable to do anything about it.

How have we gotten to the third round without something like this being posted yet?

For some reason, when Charles was young, his telepathy latched onto Erik's mind, linking them together. (What exactly happened and why is up to author anon.)

Basically, I want them both to be convinced that their best friend, the one that keeps them company when they're alone, afraid or hurt, particularly at night, is just an imaginary friend.

How long that lasts and whether the bond manages to survive to adulthood is also up to author anon.

The one thing I insist on is that their connection is a secret that no one but them knows about.
