Either bring the X-Men forward or the Chuck gang back, you lot are brilliantly creative, there'll be a way to do it.

I'd like to see Team Bartowski assigned as their CIA protection in place of Moira (no offense to her but she'll still be the incoherently Scottish scientist in my mind).

Imagine the possibilities. Casey and Erik in a 'grump-off'. Perhaps Charles treats the Intersect as a mutation (perhaps in this it is a mutation?) and trains Chuck.

No pairings needed, but I imagine Chuck accidently walking in on Charles/Erik could result in an entertaining freakout.

Bonus points for somehow getting Awesome involved. Because not even the Chuck fandom has enough Awesome.

Well, Chuck was unusually predisposed to be able to handle the Intersect, so maybe it is a mutation, but it still had to be put into his head? Which could bring up a whole new line of thinking about mutants - Charles uses Cerebro to enhance his abilities, but what if there were some mutations that really only manifest themselves with the aid of technology?

Also ahahahahaahaha Awesome would think all the mutants' powers were, well, Awesome. (PERHAPS AWESOMENESS IS HIS MUTATION IDEK)

(Also adding my own bonus points like a ninja - if you write Chuck/Casey/Sarah OT3 I will love you forever. Although if the OP doesn't want that, it's cool. OP?)

That's a fair point actually. It's entirely possibly that there are mutations which exist without the knowledge of those who possess them, the technology to trigger it just didn't exist when it manifested in them. Ooh, I'm getting all excited nerd about this thought now.

Oh Awesomeness (caps most definitely needed) is definitely Awesome's mutation. That level of Awesome can't be achieved by any normal human. Side effects include the inability to remain clothed for too long.

Yeah I love the idea of mutations existing without people knowing about them (MAYBE I SECRETLY HAVE SUPERPOWERS. Like that interview where James McAvoy said when he was a kid, he would stare at the cat and think "move. move." and then after half an hour it would and he would be all "YAY SUPERPOWERS". ...I totally did stuff like that all the time. [/massive tangent]). But yes, even besides that it is a really cool idea, and I am thinking about all different kinds of things you could do with it, and diff things that might trigger it, idk. I guess this is a little bit like Wolverine? Like ok I don't know all that much about comic based canon, but technically his superpower is only healing, right? It was only through the addition of metally stuff that he got his cool claw thingies? IDEK.

And yesssssssssss. I don't think many people would object to Awesome's mutation side effects. HE IS THAT AWESOME. *grins*

An AU where Charles never met Raven as a child, so Erik is the first other mutant he comes across, and Charles is so blown away by not being alone that he is willing to help Erik build a mutant army despite his moral misgivings, just because he couldn't stand to be alone again.

All I could think of in that first scene where they meet each other was "YOU ARE NOT ALONE", ahahaha. So, fic where Charles is the Doctor and Erik is the Master? Somehow? Although really, based on who is discovering they are not alone, Erik should be the Doctor. So hey if you want to mix it up, that's cool too!
