Name: I prefer to not use my real name on the public side of the internet. However, Siobhan is the gaelic version of my real name.

I totally fangirl over UK House of Commons Speaker John Bercow.

I've met him! He was nice. And handily made an assumption that led to me being able to have "the Speaker of the House of Commons says I'm a lesbian" as the quirky fact I could append at the end of a bio or introduction of myself when I needed one.

Thanks! I don't usually talk about politics to the exclusion of all else, but right now... Well. I'm from the U.S. and in the UK so between Trump and Brexit it's all-consuming right now.

I work in international relations now so I still tend to keep most of my political opinions to myself. Cool intro. I'm a bit older than you, but I do like many of the shows you do. The only thing that stops me watching some of them is that I don't have Sky (I'm on Virgin Media) so I don't get the Sky Atlantic shows - thank goodness for Amazon Prime and Netflix. However, I'm hopeless with keeping up with trends and usually only catch up with stuff after it's been broadcast (I've just started watching Black Sails for example!). I like Sci fi, so Outlander is a favourite - I'm trying not to read the books because I hate being spoiled.

My Lj is totally open apart from a few locked posts, so do feel free to look and decide to friend if you want to I am happy to reciprocate :)
