On Tuesday Mr Cee took the day off and we went on a coach tour to the West side of London. We picked up the coach at a local garden centre at 8.30am which wasn't too early. We've used the tour company before (we visited Bletchley Park, the Cotswolds and last year we went on the paddle steamer 'The Waverley') so we knew that we'd be in good hands ( Read more... )

Yesterday I went on a guided history walk around the Bloomsbury area. The area doesn't have a defined boundary but is usually considered to be bordered by Tottenham Court Road to the West, Euston Road to the North, Gray's Inn Road to the East and High Holborn/New Oxford Street to the South. Today I went on another of the history walks around London. This time we started at Embankment tube station, and headed off to look at all the bridges over The Thames. The weather wasn't very good (barely 11C/51F, dull and drizzly), but it was an interesting two-hour walk and I learned some new things about bridges :)
