*runs around trying to decide where to comment* Uhhhh!!!!! Ummm.... I'll comment here, I think!
Oh, this was so lovely! Hee, I love Batman sneaking around Clark's apartment! Hee!
Batman hovered, irresolute, at the border between safe shadow and annoyingly bright sunlight. Then he made his way to the window and slipped inside.
Awww, poor Batman can't find a shadow to hide in! *pets him*
On the refrigerator was a picture of what might have been Superman done in macaroni, his mouth a hugely cheerful curve of pasta, signed "L.H."
Awwwww!!!!
Batman's eyes scanned the silent, empty room again. There was nothing at all here from Bruce Wayne. As far as he could remember, he'd never given Clark Kent or Superman anything.
Oh, you've given Clark lots of things, Bruce!
Anything else he may have given Clark Kent was information he kept strictly to himself.
*pets Bruce*
Kent's pillowcase was adorned with tiny little bats.
Eeeeeeeee!!!!! So cute!!! *wants a pillowcase like that*
Back in his bedroom, warmed by sunlight--and something

*grins* That's the big drawback of projects like this, figuring out where things go! It feels kind of like hosting a party at a hall instead of your home. :)

Morning in Metropolis has got to be a nightmare for Batman. :)
I totally want that pillowcase too! It's funny, when I first saw the picture I got transfixed by the sunlight and the glasses, and it actually took me a while to notice the pillowcase! And then I burst out laughing. :) So cute!
Awwww... this was so gorgeous! On both counts! ^_^ I love the image of Clark's hair falling over the pillowcase, with the sunlight pouring in through the window. And Bruce... he's such a big softy underneath all that brooding. *cuddles the boys* ^_^
Awww... this is so cute! *hearts* I loved the description of the gifts from Clark's friends, but especially the part where Bruce found Clark sleeping on a pillowcase decorated with little hearts, heeee (I wonder if Clark bought it himself or if it's a gift?). A lot of people noted the L.H gift, but I think I'm a little slow, who is that?
L.H. is Lian Harper, daughter of Roy Harper (Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow), and the only non-annoying child in the DCU, as far as I can tell. :)
When Lizz sent me the picture, I stared at the sunlight effects for about five minutes before even noticing the pillowcase! Then I had to try and find some way to express that moment of surprised laughter in fic. :) Glad you liked it!
Batman trying to slink around in Metropolis' sunlight always makes me smile. :)
His observations of the apartment were fun! A kitchen table from the Cleavers', eh? ;) And all the gifts were wonderful, especially Lian's Macaroni Superman. :)
The description of the golden sunlight and Clark sleeping was so well-done, and the little bats on the pillowcase are awesome! :)
The illo is just beautiful golden, juxtaposing the little bats with Clark's glasses, two very important symbols to our boys. Bravo! :)

Metropolis is not a city built for skulking! :) I love stories that have him all annoyed there myself....
The picture really pointed me toward thinking about the things and details of Clark's apartment...I'd always had a vague image in my head byu t I'd never really sat down and thought about it, which was fun!
Isn't the golden effect in the picture gorgeous? It was on my desktop while I wrote and I got to just stare at it from time to time. :)

I loved this whole story, but I'd like to point out how adorable that one sentence is.
