Oh, this is just so...lovely. Quiet and gentle and...hushed. Although I guess 'quiet' covered that, already. *g*
The visual of Batman taking in everything in Clark's apartment, assessing it, and being uncomfortable that there is nothing of Bruce there, works beautifully in terms of Bruce's personality and is very sweet, too.
Of course, I adored the pillowcase covered in bats, and that Bruce gets lost for 15 minutes just watching Clark sleep made me, um, well, it sort of made me squeal. And then the ending, where it could be Clark having been awake and aware the whole time or it could be him smiling in his sleep because he had felt Bruce's presence, well, that's a fantastic ending.
As for the artwork, well, WOW!!! That's a stunning image. I love the lighting and the use of shadows, as well as the glasses being in the foreground. Simply beautiful.
The picture was a wonderful prompt for both subject and mood...it really got me thinking about what Clark's apartment would be like and what might be in it. And I'm a sucker for Bruce staring at Clark (well, either of them doing it, really--I still have yet to recover from your Clark counting eyelashes! Counting eyelashes! Eee!) so I really indulged myself. :)
And I had never even considered one of the two possible readings for the end, but now I like them both so much that I'm not going to say which one it was and leave it up to the reader. *grin* Thank you so much for the sweet comment!
This was superbly wonderful! I love how Batman hits upon the revelation that he's never given anything to to Clark. It's just who he is I guess, so busy it never really hit him before. But the way he was fascinated staring at the sleeping Clark was great, and the little 'hint' he left of being there :D

Thank you! Bruce, for all his fabled wealth, doesn't seem like a person who showers gifts and those he cares about--in fact, he seems less likely to do so, somehow. He wants to be appreciated for who he is, not what he gives. :) Glad you enjoyed it--the art was a good prompt!
*grins* Thank you! She sent me the picture and I used it as my desktop wallpaper and found it very inspirational! I enjoyed making the little "snapshot" of their relationship to match it. :)
*grins* I loved this! I think the best part of it was that while all the other objects were treasured gifts, Clark must have bought those pillow cases himself, just to have a little reminder of Bruce around, too. *g* Either that or one of his teammates has a mischievous sense of humor!

The art is beautiful. I love the color palate, it really looks like a scene saturated by sunlight, very nice.

A cute little scene which lets us see so much of Bruces and Clarks relationship.
Just perfect.
