This was absolutely beautiful, the picture and the story both! The descriptions in the fic were so wonderfully vivid--I could see Clark's sun-drenched apartment (and Clark himself) perfectly--and they fit the artwork to a T. And what yummy artwork! The rich golden light! The woodgrain on the nightstand! The bat pillow case! Eeeee
( ... )
The picture had such a warm, quiet feeling to it that it was a joy to try and capture it in words!
Although I have to ask (I couldn't figure this out :( ), who is L.H??? I'm sure I should know this and it's killing me that I don't, lol.
Lian Harper, son of Roy Harper (Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow), and the only established non-annoying child in the DCU. :)
Plus, I really loved the idea that Bruce, the man who cares about Clark more than nearly anyone else, hasn't given Clark any physical tokens of friendship. Which might be weird, but I like thinking that their connection is so strong that it goes beyond that in some way.
o_O That's interesting, I hadn't realized it until you said it, but I've been elaborating on this theme in a different story right now! Obviously it's one that has a lot of appeal for me too, it seems... :)
Thanks so much for the sweet comment and I'm glad you liked it!
Stalker ferret, stalker ferret, does everything a stalker ferret does Ahem! Sorry for the late feedback!
The art for this is gorgeous! I love the honey quality of the light, and Clark's sketchy hair and the swirliiieees of the wood. Lol, I dunno, it's a wonderful effect overall.
The story is so sweet, too! I love a Batman that can admit his feelings to himself even if he's not willing to share them with others. Being jealous of having no presence in Clark's apartment was a really nice touch, his annoyance at there being no evidence that he is actually somewhat invested on Clark.
Loved the Lian macaroni Superman! bweee, it was so adorable X)
Kent would probably notice the change, would probably be able to guess at the message: I'm keeping an eye on you.
This line and Clark smiling fills my poor hurting head with joy! This story and the art are wonderful, thank you both for sharing them!

Well, you know, not yet. :) Although I am on a major kick of "Bruce doesn't need to show his feelings by saying anything, because Clark isn't needy or stupid" thanks to youuuuu...
Glad you liked it and thank you so much for the comment, you make my morning happy!
