The idea of Bruce with powers was actually a bunny teh_no mentioned quite a while ago and I put aside until recently. It's tricky because usually I imagine Bruce would be very leery of powers...but on an isolated, unstable planetoid I'd like to think he could take a moment to enjoy it. Oh, oh, and I have to thank you, because the isolation and silence were inspired very much by The Lost Years! *hugs*
*grin* Bruce is usually very distrustful of powers, but given a limited setting and time period...I figured he might be able to enjoy himself a bit. :) He decided he was willing to romp and I wasn't going to argue...Glad you liked it!
The use of color is outstanding in the pictures, Lizz! I like the green color of Bruce's eyes and how he seems happy surrounded by light, and Clark is so content surrounded by the volcanic colors.
Great job with the words, Jen! Describing what Bruce feels and what Clark must always feel was wonderful. I love the images of them making love in the air, so beautiful, so beautiful.
That scene in the volcano: okay, I'll say it. It was hot! ;)
Oooh, this was a lovely idea! Seeing Bruce with powers was amazing--and that was enough of a shock for him that I really can see him dropping into the vacation mindset without a struggle. :-) Well, without any more struggle than he put up on the way out there, at least. *g*
*grins* I assume he was intolerably grouchy all the way there, lol. And it was a delicate balance with the powers...usually I imagine he'd be downright unhappy about being meta, but given an entirely isolated situation like this, I'd like to think he could relax for a couple of days. :)
I imagine he'd get there, but in the comics Batman is always very, very suspicious of meta-abilities. They're "cheating," they shortcut the process of training and learning by being handed a ring or a magic word. He tends to view people like Superman, Green Lantern, Captain Marvel as being given too much power too easily, and he's always suspicious it will warp their egos. (Thus all the paranoid safeguards he's got going on).
I've actually seen it argued by some fans that Batman would never be in a relationship with Superman because would never trust a meta that much, and I have to admit there's canon to support that, although generally DC has Batman treat Superman as kind of an exception to the rule and the only meta he really does trust (and maybe Wonder Woman).

*beams* Thanks, that was really fun, trying to imagine how Bruce would respond to knowing this is how Kal always sees the world...

Huh. Any particular reason? *curious* I'd have thought he'd consider it one more tool to use in his mission.
