Who needs an excuse for that? See, what I think Valentines Day does is take all that and make it less special. It's kind of something that is expected. As Ben said it's all about stuff guys should be doing for their girls any way. It's much more special and romantic if you do something like that on a different day, when they're not expecting it.

Because some Catholic guy went and got himself martyred, my beloved feels he needs to do gag-inducing things for me? To which I reply, "No thanks. Lets just rent a movie instead."
I'm romantic, just not in the traditional way.
