The post, while a little short, had good story progression and character development. We all go through hardship that keeps us from writing, whether it be school, work, family, illness, or writer's block. It happens and if you obsess over it, you never get past it.

I think the ferry accident affected us all, either consciously or subconsciously, and reminded us that time and life are precious.

Rest well, eat well, relax your mind. Meditation works for me.

Thank you. Your comment made me feel better even if I do feel like this chapter could've been so so much more. Part of the reason I just decided to post it was because I wanted to get over it. If I'd kept it any longer I'd have been stuck even longer in my rut.

People are their own worst critics. They always want to do better. I definitely felt this chapter could've been better, but I thought I'd probably never update if I thought like that.
It's okay hun, I have nothing against silent readers. Sometimes I don't comment either, even though I like the story or am friends with the writer.
