Blah blah blah. Usual preface about it being forever, apologizing for this being long (or am I at the point where I deliberately don't apologize, saying this is largely for me? I don't remember). Anyway.

If you're in the area, I cannot recommend Plitvice enough:

It's a long set of travetine waterfalls that are just gorgeous.

I am impressed that you still have three weeks of vacation time after having been on maternity leave.

Actually, I still have 6 weeks of baby bonding leave that I didn't take, and I'm using 3 of those weeks for this trip. Google is so generous with maternity leave that I didn't have to touch my vacation time for leave.

Probably entirely useless, but there was a very good accordion busker here a couple years ago. In any case, walking around the old town was very interesting.

Oh, and as far as I could tell, just about everyone in Zurich speaks English.

Well, given that you can be a bit of a masochist at times, I am not surprised! :o)

Having a 3 mth old and a 3 year old sounds like a LOT of work - but hopefully fun work! But at least you got an easy baby - I really want one of those! :o)
