This is not a comprehensive update. More of a snapshot of how things are right now. It was prompted by Kael coming out of his room a couple nights ago after I thought he was asleep, crying "I don't want to die!". RIP Fiver
Fiver died today. We don't know what he died of; he'd been sick with an infection that caused one side of his body to be weak, but he was being treated and had improved greatly. Today it's like he had a major relapse, much worse than before, and by the time we got him to the vet, he was dead. The vet thought he might have fallen and broken his neck ( Read more... ) -

Life update (being robbed and audited in the same month!)
Once again torn whether to make this public or private (private to spare everyone). And once again, opting for public behind assorted cuts.

Smells
Kael has definitely started noticing and caring about smells. Or at least, he's now sharing his feelings about smells with us. In Croatia (I may post about our vacation at some point), our hotel had a daycare. The daycare had several rooms, each with a distinct (presumably unintentional) smell.
