Well, here's the funny thing...

Oneseat is a campaign that is based on COMMON SENSE. Currently the EU seat is divided, so some of the EU meetings take place in A, some in B. B happens to be in France, heh, so no wonder it is soooo "important". It costs ~200 million €/year to ship people and things from A to B for a few meetings.

So, the campaign, if successful, would terminate the process and the parliament would not be located in France anymore.

So...since the French are so goddamned useless and better than everyone else, they more or less forced the EU to buy the venue in France. Previously the parliament was more or less just a tenant there.
