Buying an apartment in downtown Oslo
Friend of mine is buying an apartment, and was wondering if I had any advice regarding what to look for when finding a place to live, since we've lived in quite a number of different places in the past 3 years (6). This is what I would recommend for Oslo, though it might partially apply to any medium-sized european city.

Technical Homelessness
I am technically homeless and jobless this October. Fortunately I have a pile of severance cash I can float around on until we fly back to Norway on the 28th and I start work again. Until then, we'll just be improvising. I'll be blogging a bit more. -

On my way to work today (yes, it's Sunday) I saw one of those clips you use to hold tablecloths down when it's windy outside. This made me think that if you don't use tablecloths, you don't need the tablecloth clip, so you could eliminate two unnecessary types of item.
