Ellen was amazed when she saw the sign to the 3rd Music Room.

She had asked directions from some giggling girls as to where to go, and Ellen was sure that she was going to follow them wrong. After all, it took her half a day to find the Main Office, where she promptly got yelled at for being a young ditz. From now on, until she remembered where her classes were, Ellen was to have one of her fellow classmates as an escort...A terribly embarrassing thing, really...And, she had yet to choose one...

Ellen approached the doors cautiously, and wrapped her hands around the around the handles, and pulled...Only to find that they wouldn't open. She pulled again, and again to no avail...Were they closed today or something?

Ellen sighed, and took a step back, disapointed. She really needs them to particapate in her game...Ellen tensed for a moment, and she felt as though she was being watched.

"Is someone there?" Elen said, giving a weary glance at the shadows...

Nekozawa was slightly disappointed in seeing a first year customer instead of a Host Club member glaring suspiciously in his direction. The dark hair and cloak concealed him to her immediately, but he suspected that once her eyes got used to the light he would not be hidden any longer. Best to make do with the situation at hand.

Taking Bereznoff out the pocket of his cloak, he gave an elegant swish accompanied with an evil laugh.

"Greetings, young lady," he intoned in a raspy voice. "Waiting for the host club I presume? What a lovely surprise. I am as well."

Nekozawa waited for her response as he scrutinized her more closely.

Ellen looked at him, curious. Dark cloak, dark hair, evil laugh, a weird puppet thing...Yeah, you defiantely didn't meet these types of people in America. Most American boys really didn't have enough confidence to walk around with a puppet, hiding in the shadows and laughing evilly. This just shows how much more life in Japan is going to differ from life in America.

"I am. I'm a new student here from America. My name is Ellen Carabin." Ellen gave out her hand, her voice remaining monotone.

"And you are?"

She seemed quite inquisitive, as he looked at her glasses with the slight tint and expectant eyes. And though she did manage to keep her voice monotone, he could sense that she didn't quite know what to make of him. But that wasn't unusual. He suspected most of his school didn't know what to make of him ( ... )

Ellen blinked, and her stoic mask crumbling along with it. Black Magic Club? With witches and blood rituals and the like? And this guy was friends with a weird little cat puppet? What the heck?

She was very tempted to take a step back and run at that very moment, but the etiquette classes and curiosity that she has almost been bred with told her to stay and find out more. As the classic cliche says, there is more to what meets the eye.

"It was very nice to meet you, and Berenzoff too. Are you, by any chance, friends with the Host Club? I have been wishing to see what exactly they do. I know many girls seem to like it, for some odd reason, and there never have been Host Clubs in America, so I don't know what they do. May you please inform me, if that is alright?" Ellen replied politely, her voice still monotone.

Impromptu speeches were not his forte. Unless about black magic. Not the Host Club. He was going to kill his father for even thinking about, "Making do with what you had," because clearly, this was not working in his favor ( ... )

"Oh, that is very nice of them to do that for you and your sister." In blunt truth, Ellen thought they sounded like a bunch of players...But of course, she wasn't going to say that about them when they could be walking around the corner at any given moment. Ellen needed someone to test, and they were the perfect test subjects...

Oh joy, now she sounded as though she was some sort of mad scientist....Not a good sign. Not a good sign at all.

"Um..,What exactly do you do in the Black Magic Club? Rituals and the like?" Ellen replied, uncertainy in her normally monotone voice.

Perhaps she should leave now...Ellen knew what one most likely does in that sort of club, and she didn't exactly wanted to be a part of it. Her mother would kill her too if she found out. Ellen could practically hear her constant ranting right now...

He grinned and appeared next to her shoulder. "Blood rituals and altars worshipping the Dark Ones are our specialty." Engrossed in his speech, he failed to notice disbelief creeping into her eyes.

"We also dabble a bit in wax-doll shaping, potion-making and the art of poison-administering," he smirked a little. "But we're pretty open as of now, since we lack the membership," he swung around to face her, determined to sell her on the idea. "So if there is some way that you want to affect someone via the Dark Arts, please let me know if I can... be of assistance, let us say? Berenzoff doesn't like waiting for his next meal very long. So what do you think? A chance to join the Dark Magic Club is looking very good in your future."

Ellen raised a brow, her natural skepticism and cynicism just about ready to break through. She didn't really believed these types of things worked, and its only use was to scare someone who did believe in its 'use'. The only truly supernatural thing Ellen believed in was ghosts, but that was beside the point.

She took a step back, ready to bombard the poor boy with her beliefs.

Ellen took in a large breath, and began to rant, "You have no actual proof these things actually work, do you? I, myself, doubt they really do. These strange practices haven't even benefited you, have they? Apparently not, since you say you have no other members other than that puppet."

Her eyes gleamed with a challenge, and Ellen hoped he would understand what they were trying to communicate.

She continued, smiling, "If they really did work, then you can cast some spell over people and make them join, and you would have more members. However, your lack of members merely shows that those practices are useless, and that they don't actually work."

What was that noise ringing in his ears? Oh right. His world was crashing down on him. Quickly. In a blaze of fire and doom. Not only did she fire point-blank the fact that he had only Berenzoff as the only other officer in his club (and really, she didn't even acknowledge that) but she CLAIMED that Black Magic didn't exist! Blasphemy ( ... )
