Ya know, i have yet to see Scenes from a Marriage, and Criterion just came out with a super-duper 5 hour special edition. Should i just throw caution to the wind and buy the damn thing because i'm going to love it beyond all comprehension, or rent it first?

um, you know its one of my least favorite bergmans; I really like it, but I pretty much LOVE all Bergamn movies from Wild Strawberries on up

I just rented the criterion dvd of scenes from a marriageand viewed the original three hour version. while i thought the film was excellent, i'm not sure that one could bear the entire five hour miniseries. in other words, i don't see the need to purchase the three disc package.
