Growling soundlessly, he glared at the edge of the roof for a moment, listening to the sounds of the man that had just dropped down to the ground. Reloading. Waiting for the crimefighter to step right into his line of fire once more. It almost made him want to laugh.
Almost.
Moving quietly as ever, Rorschach rather went to the other side of the roof and quickly climbed down the same way he had gone up before, ignoring the protest from his wounded arm. Drawing his grappling gun, the man quickly went around the building, making sure to remain unseen in its shadows until he caught sight of the sharpshooter still aiming his weapon up to the roof.
Rorschach snorted, stepped around the corner and out of the shadows, raised his own weapon and aimed it at the mercenarie's upper body. And fired.

He stifled the sharp groan that managed to push itself through him in spite of his efforts; what he didn't hold back was his immediate retaliation. Up came his other hand, going straight to grab his opponent's throat.

"Should have listened from the start. Gunning for civilians: Bad habit. Probably responsible for previous murders?"
Killing this man wasn't on the vigilante's agenda as of yet. First he needed some answers from him. And depending on what this little interview would turn into he could still kill him... Or lock him up somewhere.

His breath rattled through his chest as the vigilante pulled him by the collar of his shirt; his voice sounded no better than his respiration. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said in reply, the answer the clearest he'd given all night. Too little, too late, but at least it was the truth rather than his usual avoidance.

Paradise had at least one criminal already. And one was one too many. So if this one was a potential second criminal that was just starting out, the vigilante now had the best opportunity to take care of him.

"Was just looking," came in response. It was unfortunate that the truth sounded like a flimsy excuse. "Trying to figure out what was going on in the park. Would rather avoid... people."

The hand that had just been holding the RED curled into a tight fist and rushed forward right at the already downed man's face once more. Aimed to at least break his nose for good and knock him out for a while.

And with the crunching of his nose, cartilage breaking upon impact, that delicate balance that kept him moving was thrown off. Blood poured down his face, spilling on the front of his shirt and vest. He went slack; his eyes saw neither the red, nor the white of the moonlight as his vision faded, consciousness finally leaving him.

That done he went to collect the dropped rifle, and left. He had little use for the weapons themselves, but he rather had them not in the hand of some potential madman anymore. A madman he was going to let live... For now at least. But he would watch.
