Seriously, what the f*$! are the writers trying to do to us? They rip our OTP in half by taking Nathan from us, and they give us Sylar/Claire as some sick consolation prize? Claire and Peter need to kill Sylar dead, repeatedly, until it takes. Until he's really really really dead dead.

And I'm sorry I just went off in your journal. Can I just say that I love you for doing the Nathan Petrelli Memorial Kink Meme? It is my only salvation at this point. I miss Nathan so, so much :(

And Sylar/Claire now comes with .1% Nathan, therefore with .1% incest! Which gives me a small bit of satisfaction against Sylar/Claire shippers. And then for Sylar fans, it's like, "Yeah, your guy killed my guy. But my guy neutered yours! :D" God, Heroes. You take the satisfaction where you can, even if it's bitter. There has to be some upside to the writers making Sylar rape Nathan's personality and memories, right?

I'm having a hard time finding satisfaction at all in the show anymore. Pretty much the whole reason I ever watched was for the interaction between Peter and the rest of the characters (especially Nathan).

Now Peter is just being... weird. And while I have to admit that insane!Peter is slightly adorable, part of the allure for me was always that yin and yang interaction between him and Nathan.

I hate to be one of those people who gives up on a show because of one character being written off, but...

*sigh*

My favorite moment this season was when Emma and Peter were with the kids choir that was singing the theme to Greatest American Hero. That was beautiful. It's like whatever love the writers actually still have left anymore was all pressed into that one scene.

Yeah. He looked really young to me this episode. I assume he's being weird because he's reeling. I don't know what his motivation is. What is he telling himself? He feel disconnected now. So did Angela. And, sadly, I felt like Cristine was phoning in her role. I love her to pieces and I hate saying that, but...yeah. The material isn't good. :(

We're not sure where the heart of the show is anymore.

I came across a great quote today, so great that I wrote it into my journal: "Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare." - Japanese proverb.

We are currently in a nightmare. :(

I really miss Cristine's awesomeness. They have her phoning in her role, and Cristine Rose should NEVER just phone in a role! :( She deserves better than that.

Sadly, I don't think Lydia is much of a leader type. At least not with the way the writers have decided to write her. Maybe if they had fleshed her out a bit...but all the Carnies need to be fleshed out.

I hope Adam's return is not a disappointment. It's Ollie Grigsby and he knows how to provide, but...yeah. I probably shouldn't hold my breath.

I remember how Grisby tweeted how much fun he had writing his favorite character and the fucked up things he said and did. Now we know that he was writing those Sylar/Claire scenes. That speaks for itself...

Urm, yeah, just a bit. *sighs* I fear we'll see some new low reached in next week's episode.

I guess two years ago when Kring got it in his head that we wanted crack, he just ran with it.

Behold what he said in an interview with Wizard, Nov. 2007: "How do you build a story when all the audience really wants is crack? That for us has really been a very big quandary."

Dude. No, no you can't build a story with crack. And yet you still try. D:

"How do you build a story when all the audience really wants is crack? That for us has really been a very big quandary."

*sigh* Kring. >:( You take a page from Joss Whedon's book and you say: Don't give the audience what they want, give them what they need. Ugh. A little fanservice is fun, but when it takes over the entire show, NOT GOOD. We don't really want crack from the show... we just want to write about it in fanfic. We want the show to MAKE SENSE.

She was totally exactly like that! It was adorable! I was all, yeah! You go girl! I'd've used my power for that, too!

I wish she and Nathan (er, well, at least "Nathan"), had met at least once... I feel like she's the likeliest candidate for taking on the role of preventing Peter from doing completely batshit insane things, and it would have been nice to at least have had some kind of... passing of the baton scene. Ah well. Planning ahead, not Heroes' forte.

ha! oh man, nathan. even his name makes me sad. aha i think someone on the kink meme requested nathan/emma right?

also co-journaller and i just want to say that when we're watching s4 of heroes and we feel sad we read the making of nathan petrelli, the happy bits! and then we feel better, because they're magic and in love and nothing can tear them apart AND THAT WILL BE HOW IT IS FOREVER.

I think the request was for Peter/Emma and then jealous!Nathan with eventual Peter/Nathan, WHICH. EMMA! IS SO LOVELY! Emma/Me = OTP There should be cuddlies! No fighting!

*puts Peter and Nathan in a beach house outside of time and space, nudges them together*

(I'm using the Milo!crotch icon to distract from all the sad. Is it working?)

Emma was completely adorable when she summoned Peter. She really just should have held hands with him and kept him there and played music, instead of letting him wander off. I am, also, amazed that Peter got to sleep twice in one episode. Sure, one time it was wracked by prophetic nightmares. But. You know. That's probably more sleep than he's had since V3.

Poor Pete. I think he's been manic all season and now he's crashing down real hard. He slept a lot when he was depressed in season two, too.

But, yes, Emma really should have talked him out of his slightly-crazed Samuel-babble and just snuggled with him. He needs snuggles.

"We need someone to lead us." Then she thinks for a moment. Perhaps, you say, she wants someone who knows the carnival and the people in it, who is known by them and respected? Someone like, say... her? But no, she says, quite literally, "There's a man..."

Yeah, word to all of that. But then again, that would never do what with her being more suited to sleeping with strange men on request, apparently. Also, just what ARE her powers? Exactly? I see this week she can send psychic telegrams - that doesn't seem to fit the rest of her skillset at all, vague as that is.
