Cultural Life Expectations

As we become adults in our culture there are certain societal expectations that get thrust upon us. General society expects us to go to school, get a job, get married, have some kids and strangely, on top of that, the expectation not to age is thrown in as well. I have to agree, life is a natural progression, I am proud to have made it this far, and dream to achieve my fathers age as well as him.

Congrats on 40! I know when I was younger I didn't really think about the future for a lot of reasons. I never really expected to make it this far. I think in all the ridiculousness of our younger years we can't imagine how that would transition into being an "adult" haha Because that whole what society expects thing is a lil too....vague and specific at the same time. But everyone does it differently. Good job on the way you did it! Woohoo 40!
