1. Which of the Harry Potter books have you read? Which did you enjoy most? i have read all of them. i loved them all, but my absolute favorite was GoF. it seemed to the most action packed. there was so much going on, you could actually feel that Voldemort was going to return as you turned each page. it just felt so inevitable. i think my next favorite was PoA, you learn so much about Hermione, i think she had the most character developments here, you see a how protective she is over the boys. and of course Harry has someone to look up to like a father figure. i can keep going. i just loved them all so much. :)
2. How do you feel about Voldemort as a character? (Not as a person.) How can you not think of voldemort as a person. isn't a character meant to in fact personify the very words you read? that put aside. i think the character is a total coward, i mean why do you have to go after a baby. i understand that there is a prophecy but, i mean COME ON! you're the most powerful wizard, do you really think a little baby will be able to take on you. it shows that he lacks his own confidence. i do think that he is determined. he could have easily have gone for anyone, but the has to go for harry, plus... how many books do we have where Harry encounters Voldemort? i do believe that his character is definitely necessary, because, without him the whole series would not exist.
3. Which Harry Potter character can you most relate to? (In the sense of personality, intelligence, character traits, etc.) i think I'd like to believe that ism most like Hermione, but now that i think about it i am nowhere near as patient as she is nor do i focus on my studies. maybe ism more like Luna. I'm a bit weird, i had a huge SciFi kick for the longest time, but i kinda grew out of it, she seems like a daydreamer, i find myself just dreaming about today, tomorrow, and what could be. i like to see something in ordinary things. I'm poor like Ron, and determined and obnoxious like Malfoy, but not too bad.
4. Who is your favorite Harry Potter character? Least favorite? I've gotten this love hate relationship with Snape right now. i love him for his sullenness, abrasiveness, directness, sneakiness, and his ability to mask what side hes really on. but then again thats what bothers me. there are times when all you want to do is totally hate him, but you can't help but read into his actions because you really want him to be good. plus another thing that i don't like is the fact that he holds a grudge against harry when he didn't even do anything... but that goes all the back to before book one. who do I really despise? umbridge...duh... and Lockhart. hes so fake, it totally unnerves me that he could steal someones accomplishments and then claim them as his owns. no one may know the difference, but how could you let that rest on you?
5. What thing, event, or person has had the most impact in your life? (Please don't use yourself because you can't think of someone/something else. Think hard!) hmmm... the person that has most impacted my life is probably my fiance, Gabe. I've been with him for just about four years, although it hasn't been that long, hes brought me out some rough times, not just stupid HS drama, but huge family issues, living crisis, and so much more. hes always been there for me, and i know he always will. he pushed me to go to college, and is pushing me to go to grad school in the fall. I'd be nowhere if it wasn't for him. either that or I'd be working at a supermarket as a cashier making bad pay.
6. What makes a friendship valuable to you? i think that my friends should be honest to me, and if they're not, could you make it a point not to get caught or make it a good lie. i love my friends and i will do anything for them. I'll look past personalty flaws, and even some things that gut tells me not to. I've lost friends because of this. finally those things surface and it winds up hurting you in the end. i want to give everyone a chance. oh well.
7. If you had a hero (real or literary) who would it be? (Please keep in mind that we're asking IF you had one, and again please don't use yourself because you can't think of someone else. Be creative!) my hero would be... i guess my mom. shes taught me just about everything i know about being a decent person, when something goes super wrong i always turn to her. shes taught me to value my family even though they're not always totally reliable. she given me values on how to raise my future children, and also given me things that i need to improve on. she may not be perfect, but shes molded me to be the person i am today, and i think that I'll always use her as a model. what what are heroes, but people we want to model our lives after.
8. What are your personal aspirations for your future? i really want to teach. in order to do that i have to take a total path change. i want to be able to enlighten people and give people hope with math. there are some people that are deadest against, but i want to help kinds at a semi-early age to show them is not scary, and make it practical. one of my closest friends hates math, and its the only thing stopping him from graduating. i think that if he had made math relative at an early age he wouldn't panic at basic math.... I've gone of on another rant... sorry
9. What are your most prominent personality traits, good or bad? Which one do you feel best defines who you are as a person? I'm very quiet around people i don't know. (this being an exception because i was told to talk alto and i don't actually see you reading this, lol) sometimes i come off as snotty because of it. the snottiness is then the most prominent if you don't know me. but if you do, you'll find that I'm very passive. i tend to let a lot of stuff slide. i don't like to let the little things bother me, but I've also been known to explode. but i mostly just let things go. I'm the one that people come to. i try not to spill anything to anyone else when people confide in me. i like being the groups confidant.
10. What house combination do you feel you're most like? Least like? (This is not pushing. It shows whether or not you are self-aware and may not have an influence on the voting process.) i don;t really know. I've got so much of each house in me. I've got Griffindor's courage, and confidence,yet i can be cowardice, hufflepuffs loyalty and passiveness, yet i explode and have betrayed, ravenclaws intellect and skill, yet stupidity breaks through the floodgates at times... and slytherin, I'm cunning and I've been sneaky, yet i can be considerate. if i had to pick I'd be a hufferavenslithdor...but i don't think that counts.
11. Why should we not squib you? you have every right to squib me! but of course I'd like it if you didn't. since i believe that i posses a bit of every house I've come to you for your opinion, and i have not, or at least knowingly, tried to say my application towards and one house, or house combo in the case. but hey it was fun.
