I know what you mean. And it's easier to do it all on your own, but I've learned that the little people LOVE to get involved with the current project and "help" mommy. :-) I try to remember to work on "mommy only" projects during nap time or after they're tucked into bed at night. Makes everyone happier, myself included. :-) Glad your day with Tirzah was so special, I'm sure she loved it!
This was good to read for me to read too. I don't have children, but too often I look at all the things that need to be done, rushing around in my Martha world and forgetting to be the Mary who truly pays attention and just enjoys people, the guests or whatever the situation might be. And I worry about time, always on time, not wanting to just relax and forget about time.
I will pray for you on your very worthwhile endeavor to overcome this tendency! Emotional absence is worse, in my opinion, than physical absence. You have many more years with your girlies to fight and win this battle and it sounds like you had a break-through last weekend. How special! You are probably right about what Tirzah will remember most. :-) ::big hugs::

And really, you do well so long as you're aware of your weaknesses, and are self-correcting. You do all that, and more. :-)
