Wilting
I'm so lacking in ambition or motivation or life or something lately. I feel like every day I get up, run around putting out fires, then go to bed. Rinse, repeat. I guess this IS often what a homemaking mommy's life looks like, but usually I approach it with at least a little zeal. It just won't be mustered.

Our project-y weekend
I am sitting in the car with my girls while Jonathan shops for pegs inside Home Depot in order to complete his new tool pegboard that he put up in our garage after finding the board in the attic while we were cleaning. We've had a slightly busy project weekend and find it rather fulfilling.....

Mia's birth story

30 Days of Thanks, Day 30: Mia
Well, it's the last day of this project and I've saved this one for my baby, on the eve of her second birthday. I'll be writing her official "Mia at two" report soon, so I'll keep this brief. Day 27: Christmas music! Our CCM station, which I never listen to throughout the year, plays nonstop Christmas music starting the day after Thanksgiving, and I love it. Just the first few notes of some songs is enough to cause memories of countless holiday seasons to flash to mind....

30 Days of Thanks, Day 26: Family
I feel so blessed that the relative we live furthest from is less than two hours away. (With the exception of Robin, far away in NYC! We missed her yesterday.) Visits, birthdays, and holidays are all possible and often even convenient for us, and I'm so glad! I love being able to know both my relations AND my husband's. Amanda is too sleepy to write this, so I will speak of what I am thankful for instead. I being her husband Jonathan. I am thankful for such a self sacrificial wife who let's me enjoy spending too much time with my family and in turn causing us to be about an hour late for her families thanksgiving dinner. PS. 30 Days of Thanks, Day 24: A good year
Tonight I'm mulling over this year so far, and I'm just so thankful for ALL the ways God has blessed and cared for us in 2010! Not to say He didn't care for us in 2009, but it was certainly a year of testing and trials.... so much that I wasn't sure I wanted to start a new year just to experience so much difficulty again.
