what is involved in a home inspection? do they look under the beds? or just to make sure you are a safe place for the little ones and generally tidy and well cared for? feel free to put your family to work to help clean things up as necessary. I am finding more and more than unless I issue a direct order help is not forthcoming. so I will give more orders until they figure out how to think for themselves. Hope you find a moment to breathe soon.

the home inspection can vary anywhere from the inspector spending the entire time sitting on the sofa talking to having them walk around opening drawers and closets, checking dates on medications, asking questions like "is this basement well ventilated". You never know what the inspector is going to target in on, so everything needs to be in order

I just can't imagine it slowing down - it seems like there is always something else to do. I think when April returns to her family things will get easier - toddlers always slow me down, I spend too much time playing or supervising play and not enough time getting stuff done.
