Book #39 was "Drown," a collection of short stories by Junot Diaz, who is probably best known as the 2008 Pulitzer Prize winner in fiction for his "The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao." Book 38 was Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw (a reread).

Book 37 was In the Company of the Courtesan by Sarah Dunant, which I LOVED.

Book #37 was "Bag of Bones" by Stephen King, as an audiobook read by the author. It was fun to hear the book read by the author- King isn't as good as a professional reader, but he's not bad, and he knows the Maine accents he's trying to create, so it worked for me. Book #35 was "Another Country: Navigating the Emotional Terrain of Our Elders" by Mary Pipher. It was one of a list of good books on coping with aging parents that a friend on LJ posted, and it sounded appealing. Book 32 was The Hot L Baltimore which is a play.
Book 33 was Magnetic Partners which was a very interesting audiobook about relationships.
Book 34 was Gotta Keep on Tryin' which is by Virginia DeBerry and Donna Grant whom I really like. It's a reread from just last year, but it was nice to just read something I knew I loved. :P ( Read more... )
